Linda's Red Hat room is designed to my own liking (Linda Simpson), wife, mom, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. That's me, and I love the Red Hat Society! Since turning 50 years old I have made so many wonderful friends in the Red Hats. I decorated this room with the fun, frivolous, functional, zany personality of most Red Hatter's! This room is a small group room sleeping 3-5 guests. There is 1 queen bed and 3 twin beds. This room also has a private bath, private entrance, deck area and coffee pot with supplies!
Rates: $45/person/night + taxes

Greetings from Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging in Canton, Texas.
Larry and Linda Simpson own and operate the Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging, on “The Mountain” in Canton, Texas. There are 7 rooms available in our cozy Mountain environment.
Stay with us and enjoy the trees, squirrels and wooded paths. The Mountain is open late each night, typically until 10-11:00 pm. We have lots of free live music entertainment, unique gift shops, restaurants and lodging, and it’s all lit up and festive. The free live music entertainment is usually available on Fridays and Saturdays as well as a Quilt Auction approx. every 2 hours on Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. You will find more info on The Mountain later in this letter and at www.CantonMountain.com.
Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging is located in 2 buildings on The Mountain. Both sit in the middle of The Mountain area. Each room has a private bath, a private entrance, a porch area and coffee pot with coffee supplies provided. There are also great little restaurants on The Mountain within close walking distance to your rooms and we encourage you to experience them. We are a non-smoking facility with areas outside on the decks for smoking available.
The Mountain is a quiet fun atmosphere. Our rooms have no Televisions or Radios, very peaceful and quiet, and rarely do we have a guest that misses either as they are usually out and about The Mountain enjoying all the activities.
Check-in starts at 3:00pm and Check-out is at 10:00 am.
To check in park in the East parking lot at Old Mill Marketplace and phone Linda at (405) 245-3389 and we will come pick you up in our golf cart. After showing you your room and delivering your luggage we will have you sign your credit card receipt/pay for your room. We must have a signature on credit card charges in order to complete your transaction.
We are primarily a First Monday Trade Days (FMTD) facility. Our facility is available any day of the week of FMTD.
We can be reserved for special events or groups on other dates as well. Just contact us about dates.
There is a trolley available to take you around the First Monday Trade Days grounds. You can catch the trolley at the old fashioned water tower in the west end of Old Mill Marketplace parking lot. There are benches in front of it where you can wait for the trolley to arrive. It picks up every 20 to 30 minutes.
Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging Building 1 has the following rooms:
1. Larry's Acadia House is a room that sleeps 2-4 guests with one queen bed and two twin beds. It is decorated in Native American/Acadian décor.
2. Tarra's Treasure is a room that sleeps 2-4 with two queen size beds. This room is decorated with Burgundies and gold’s and is a very comfy cozy place to stay.
3. Adam's Roundup is a room that sleeps 4-6guests with two queen beds and 2 twin beds. Decorated with cowboy decor.
Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging Building 2 has the following rooms and sits as state towards the middle of The Mountain Facility.
1. Amber Lodge is a room that sleeps 5 to 7 guests with two queen size beds and 3 twin size and has a private bath. Decorated in Lodge décor.
2. Angela’s Pleasure sleeps 2 with one queen bed, done in New Orleans style jazz and glitz! Also a private entrance and bath.
3. Chrystina Anne is a fun room that will sleep 2-3 with a queen bed and a twin day bed and private bath.
4. Linda's Red Hat is a room that has 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and 1 twin day bed, so it sleeps a total of 3 to 5 guests. It is decorated with Red Hat Society ladies reds and purples. Comfy and fun!
The Mountain is a theme town representing a rustic 1880’s old west town, complete with gun fight reenactments, free live music entertainment, quilt auctions and lots more. We believe the Mountain is the most unique and fun First Monday Trade Days experience in Canton.

The only rules that affect guests staying on The Mountain are:
1. That the laws of the City of Canton, county of Van Zant, state of Texas and country of the United States of America be obeyed.
2. That you purchase a parking pass for $3.00/day or $5.00/weekend which will give you full access to the East parking lot at Old Mill Marketplace. Old Mill Marketplace is located on Hwy 64 East at the base of our Mountain and provides the parking for The Mountain in their security patrolled parking lot. You can www.Mapquest.com 542 Hwy 64 E, Canton, TX 75103 and it will guide you right to the parking lot!
3. Old Mills east parking lot is designated exclusively to Mountain lodging guests and vendors.
4. Driving of anything other than golf cars on The Mountain streets during First Monday Trade Days weekend is prohibited as the streets are narrow and we wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt. So, Magnolia House Bed & Bath Lodging will transport you and your luggage up The Mountain on a golf cart when you arrive to check in and when you wish to check out.
5. Canton, TX is located in Van Zant County, which is a dry county. However, there is a native Texas winery available adjacent to The Mountain, facing Hwy 64, within walking distance of your room. The Winery is locally owned and operated. If you desire any other type of alcoholic beverages you will need to bring it with you and conceal it.
First Monday Trade Days Rates:
1-2 guests $100.00/night + Taxes
3 or more guests in one room $45.00/person/night + taxes.
Children: Children between the ages of 10 and 15 years of age are an additional $15.00/night, under 10 are free and over 15 is adult price.
Our State and City taxes total 13%, and will be added to your room rate total.
Non-First Monday Trade Days Rates:
1-2 guests are a minimum of $75/night + taxes.
3 or more guests in one room are $25/person/night + taxes.
Children: Children between 10 and 15 years of age are an additional $15/night, under 10 is free and over 15 is adult price.
Our state and City taxes total 13%, and will be added to your room rate total.
We ask for a one-night credit card deposit and require a 14 day cancellation notification for full refund of deposit. If you have to cancel at the last minute we will try to book your room and if we are able to book it to someone else we will still refund your deposit, however, if not your credit card will be charged for one nights lodging.
Deposit can be placed with Credit Card or Check.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Checks and cash.
When you check out please leave the door unlocked, the keys in the room and turn off the heat or air and coffee pot as a safety measure.
Directions to The Mountain: Located at Old Mill Marketplace, 542 Hwy 64 East in Canton. Exit off of I-20 on Hwy 19. Go South on Hwy 19 to the intersection of Hwy 19 and Hwy 64. Turn Left (East) on Hwy 64 for approx. 1/4 mile. You will see a large white gravel parking lot with huge white pavilion buildings in the back on your left. This is Old Mill Marketplace. Please enter at the third drive (east) and drive straight ahead on the road that runs parallel to the pavilion buildings. The parking lot on your right is the East Parking lot which as said is set aside especially for lodging guests. The Mountain is also on the East side of Old Mill Marketplace. There are three entrances from the parking lot to The Mountain. The entrance posted Ridge Road is the main entrance.
